So after approximately 3 months of feeling a little sorry for myself after leaving uni, I’ve been inspired to start work on a new (hopefully manageable) project!
I know I have my animation project still ongoing, but unfortunately it’ll have to wait until I get a more powerful computer as trying to animate on this machine is painful. I also think that it was far too ambitious for me to achieve to a standard I’m happy with at the moment, so I’ll leave it on hiatus for now and focus specifically on my drawing/painting skills.
Essentially I’m brainstorming ideas for a mini-comic. Something set in a fantasy world, but kept short and simple, and hopefully effective. I have the general idea of the story set, so now it’s just the more difficult process of getting the specifics down and trying my very best not to run away from it. I’ll post more as it develops. :)

…and quick pose studies.
I did these after reading up on the Drawn to Life books. Really trying to clarify my poses and make them as expressive as possible, but I need to try and keep my linework a little cleaner, I think.

I’ve moved back to my lovely hometown of York! I decided to spend today sketching the minster, I need a lot of practice with observational drawing, especially of buildings.

So I recently finished uni. I have about five sketchbooks worth of sketches, but no scanner, so sorry if there’s a sudden influx of horrible quality photos.
I guess I’ve reached that point in my artist life where I have to figure out how to start making a living with this. (cue internal screaming)
Thanks to all who follow/like/reblog my work here, I really appreciate it. :)
